For this year’s #36daysoftype challenge I thought of combining my interest for comics with my love for minimalist illustrations. So I began creating an illustrated alphabet that pays tribute to various comic book superheroes and villains. Keeping a minimalist style, each one of the 26 letters aims to capture the features of a particular character through geometric form, colors, specific symbols and so on.
A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.S.
I created a new geometric inspired lettering project. To introduce it in a more intriguing way, I combined the visuals of the letters with a writing exercise.
A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.S. came to life – an Instagram project where each row features a 3 letters acronym. Each acronym represents a “random play upon letters, words and thoughts” as the page describes it. The whole letters were displayed in 18 acronyms.
